In the late 1990’s a whack on the side of the head
(literally in a car accident) triggered her access
to a form of deep intuition and connection that she
has been using in service to clients since that
time. The Divine Potential program is the synthesis
of many years of this work. And by the way, one
thing you can count on from Sandy is that she is
always growing and stretching and is very committed
to continuously taking her work to the next level,
so stay tuned for the evolution of this work.
Now a bit of life context…. And whether any of
this gives her any credibility in your mind is your
call, but she certainly has accumulated plenty of
stories to tell.
She spent 3 years as a Peace
Corps volunteer in the Congo teaching biology and
doing public health research. And yes, Peace Corps
is the” toughest job you will ever love” and she
would still consider serving again.
In her
adventurous “world traveler” stage she hitchhiked
across the Sahara; climbed the “Mountains of the
Moon”- the Ruwenzoris on the Congo-Uganda border;
communed with mountain gorillas; rafted the Grand
Canyon at flood level; escaped kidnapping in
Algeria; and swam with the wild dolphins off the big
island of Hawaii.
On the domestic side, she
ran a 60 head llama ranch in Eastern Washington and
has been know to tell her corporate consulting
clients “No consulting in May and June--I have 15
babies due”. She even got married on a 6-day llama
trek in the Cascades where you had to have a
topographical map to get to the wedding. Much to
her surprise 30 people actually showed up!
Along the way she actually did some “real work” and
has consulted in England; Sri Lanka; Canada; South
Africa; Aruba; Sudan and the Ivory Coast. In
addition, she has also traveled for pure pleasure
and would love to get back to doing more work in
developing countries, especially in micro-credit
lending for women.
Sandy spent three decades
as a corporate consultant specializing in
negotiation and high performance teams, and had her
own consulting company in Seattle for almost twenty
years before moving back East to Virginia Beach. She
has been know to occasionally savor a good single
malt scotch and looks great in a “hard hat” which
comes from spending more than a decade working in
heavy manufacturing operations like pulp mills and
aluminum smelters. During this era she was often the
only woman in the room, which was both fun and
challenging. Because of this, she has since devoted
considerable energy to cherishing and using her
feminine and creative side-which really is more fun
anyways.
Now for the dull stuff… Early in
her career Sandy conformed and punched many of the
“right tickets” accumulating a Masters of
International Administration, a Masters of Science
from Yale and a Bachelors of Science with Honors
from Cornell. She is also a Certified Professional
Coach and a certified Mediator. But quite
frankly, any credibility she has comes from the
“grey haired wisdom and mystery school” and the
curriculum of advanced adventures in living.
